Buhari, Govs., Sultan, others for Ahmadu Bello Memorial lecture

President Muhammadu Buhari will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation’s 9th Annual Lecture and Awards in Nasarawa State on May 6, 2023.

The event’s theme is “Credible 2023 General Elections as Panacea to the Search for Quality Leadership”, with a focus on Leadership and Good Governance.

Plateau State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Simon Bako Lalong, will serve as Chairman, while Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, will serve as the Chief Host.

The annual lecture series brings together experts, analysts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss topical issues and propose solutions.

According to an issued statement by the Director General/CEO of the Foundation, Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, this year’s guest speaker is Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, Chairman of the P.L.O Lumumba Foundation in Kenya. His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, will be the Royal Father of the Day, while His Highness Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage I, will serve as the Royal Host.

In addition, special guests at the event will include Executive Governors, Members of the States and National Assemblies, Ministers, Royal Fathers, religious leaders, elder statesmen, political leaders, Heads of MDAs, all Stakeholders, and Opinion Leaders.

Prominent personalities who have made immense contributions to the development of the country will also be honoured at the event.

The event will take place at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Hall, Government House, Lafia, Nasarawa State, starting at 9 am.
